Sup guys? I'll cut to the chase.
Last year was extremely difficult on me, art show wise. From pushing myself despite being burnt out, dealing with sleazy gigs, and events bumping up their fees to the same cost as rent money (But then not having the crowd to make the money back.), I decided to take a break from vending until further notice. I've been vending for seven years and never took a break, despite feeling it hard back in 2019. It was difficult, but necessary. I really felt my arts quality was suffering due to constantly crunching and not giving it the energy it deserved. And forcing myself to stop really helped me reground myself and take a look at how far I've come from my efforts. My work has improved so much since I started putting my work out there. But for now, I need to go back to my roots to improve more. No, I will not stop doing my art. In fact, this gives me the much needed time to do more. This year I'll be solely working with The Hive Gallery and their monthly galleries. Later in spring I'll be reopening my online store with better quality items. And I'm also working on a big project that I'm under a NDA at this time that I can't wait to show you all. Thank you all for your continued support and I can't wait to show you what I got to offer! -CM Leave a Reply. |
